FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

         Is your pricing for one day? 

Yes, each booking pays for a 1 night period where the garment can be worn. We do not offer extended bookings sorry!

Do you do try ons?

Yes we do! You can book a try on via our Instagram (rentmeoutnz_) or email. (rentmeout0@gmail.com). We are based in Richmond (Christchurch, NZ).

Can I reserve a dress without paying?
Sorry, we can only hold a dress once payment is received. This ensures fairness for all customers.

Do you clean the dresses after use?
Yes – all garments are professionally cleaned after each hire. Please do not attempt to wash the item yourself

Do you stock multiple sizes per item?

Some of our garments are available in multiple sizes, but most are stocked in just one size per style.
Many of our dresses are versatile and can suit a range of body types. Be sure to check the product description for each item – we always include the recommended "best fit" size.
Sizing can vary between brands, so we're always happy to help you find the perfect fit.

When should I book my dress?
We recommend booking your dress as early as possible, especially for busy event seasons like school balls, races, and weddings. 

 

 

What happens if I damage the dress?
Minor wear is expected, but if there is significant damage, you may be charged for repairs or full replacement. Always take care when wearing.

How long can I keep the dress for?
Our standard rental period is for one night only. The dress must be returned the next working day unless otherwise arranged

If the garment doesn't fit, can I get a  refund?

Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds for garments that don’t fit.
We do our best to provide accurate sizing information and are always happy to help with any questions before you book.
If you’re unsure about the fit, we highly recommend booking a try-on to avoid disappointment.

 

 

What shipping method do you use?

We ship all garments via courier for fast and reliable delivery.

  • Standard return shipping: $17.50

  • Rural or Saturday delivery: $21.80

Each order includes a prepaid return bag, and garments must be returned over the counter at a NZ Post shop on the next working day after your event.
Late returns may incur a late fee, so please return your item on time to avoid charges.

 

Is it too late to rent for this weekend?

No, if you are based in Christchurch, you can technically rent something as late as the day of your rental. Most Saturday rentals can be booked as late as Saturday mornings unless needing postage.

I didn't get a confirmation email?

If you did not receive a confirmation email in your inbox, it may just be in your junk/spam area of your email. If this is not the case, check your order form as it may not have been confirmed.

How do I check availability?

On the product page, click into the garment you are wanting to see the availability for, then select the calendar and find the date you are wanting to check.

Do you post out of NZ?

No, we only post to NZ wide. 

 

Do you do postal try ons?

Yes, we do!

  • Cost: $30 per person ($46.80 total including shipping)

  • If you choose to wear the garment that same weekend, the $30 will be deducted from your rental fee

  • Try-ons are sent early in the week and must be returned the day after delivery, unless you decide to rent it

Postal try-ons are a great way to check the fit from the comfort of your home!

What happens if I lose the return bag? 

If you misplace the provided return bag, please contact us immediately so we know the dress is still being returned.
You'll need to use an overnight courier bag at your own cost and send us the tracking number as soon as it’s shipped.
This helps us avoid assuming the item is late or missing.
